One of the Best Vieques Beaches

Vieques is an island off the coast off another island. As you might expect, there are a ton of beaches surrounding Esperanza Inn. With so much shoreline to choose from, you may want to have a plan before you land on the island.

Thankfully, we have an insider guide for you to check out. In this article, we'll cover all the major beaches that people like going to. Coconut Beach

Distance from Esperanza Inn: 300 meters

If you want to go to the beach first thing in the morning, you won't have to walk too far! Coconut Beach is essentially right outside your door. After a short walk you can spend time relaxing on Coconut Beach or its sister shore Esperanza Beach.

Sun Bay Beach

Distance from Esperanza Inn: 2.7 km

One of the best beaches on the island, Sun Bay Beach, is the perfect destination for our guests. The sand is pure white, very fine, and the water radiant. On top of that, you have access to several other beaches if you would like to hop between them with ease.

Those who are hoping to rent water sports equipment and bring food will have easy access to town.

Black Sand Beach

Distance from Esperanza Inn: 2.8 km away

Those wanting a one-of-a-kind beach experience should head to Black Sand Beach. Unique combinations of sediment gathers on the shore here, giving the beach an ashy look. As such, it's become known as the Black Sand Beach.

This one is worth a visit, and isn't too far from Esperanza Inn.

Navio Beach

Distance from Esperanza Inn: 4.5 km

Out of all the beaches sharing the small peninsula with Sun Bay Beach, Navio Beach has to be one of the most interesting. You are a short walk from the Bioluminescent Bay. You can't swim in those waters, but you can get a close look at some of the glowing organisms for yourself.

These are beaches that are fun to just lay back and relax, listening to the gentle flow of the waves crashing on the sand.

Caracas Beach

Distance from Esperanza Inn: 10 km

If you are willing to go out of your way for a beach excursion, you might find yourself on Caracas Beach. Secluded by palm trees, this beach isn't the easiest place to find, but it's totally worth the venture. Just be aware that you may need to request a taxi or shuttle to get you here.

This has beautiful sand and views of nature in Vieques. Perfect if you like shady beaches.

Blue Beach

Distance from Esperanza Inn: 10.4 km

A short walk from Caracas Beach and you will find Blue Beach. People seem to be absolutely happy with this beach. The water is as blue as the Caribbean typically is depicted, and offers peace and seclusion from the other mainstream beaches.

Secret Beach

Distance from Esperanza Inn: 11.4 km

Even further from Esperanza Inn is the aptly named Secret Beach. People enjoyed the turquoise color of the water, and how clean the sand is. People with families love to come here. There are plenty of snorkeling opportunities for you and your family to see.
